"Alive" Video Review
Goldfrapp are out with the video to their new single "Alive" (look here for the lyrics), off the English electronic music duo’s fifth studio album "Head First", further embracing Goldfrapp's descent into the 80's.
The magical duo prove that a little fun, a memorable synth, and a sing-along chorus can do wonders for people's self-esteem. Sounding more like herself than on "Rocket", Alison's performance here is adorable and enjoyable. And it translates perfectly onto the dance floor with a rather amazing remix from none other than Dave Aude.
In the video Allison Goldfrapp leads an over-the-top dance sequence where metal guys end up getting their technicolor blood drained by female vampires from Olivia Newton John's "Let's Get Physical" video. Then it turns out Goldfrapp herself is also a vampire.
