Alicia Keys and Maxwell Release "Fire We Make" Music Video
Alicia Keys and Maxwell debuted the music video for their new single “Fire we Make” off of Alicia’s most current album, Girl on Fire.
Directed by Chris Robinson, the music video is set in the French Quarter of old New Orleans, and pictures Alicia and Maxwelll acting like strangers during the day and lovers by night. Robinson has previously worked with Alicia, lending his directing talents to the music videos for “Fallin”, “Karma”, “Superwoman”, “Teenage Love Affair” and “You Don’t Know my Name”.
The song is a soulful, slow and romantic single with an equally “fiery” music video to match. Maxwell’s falsetto perfection was the cherry on top to complete the steamy tune.
Alicia’s Girl On Fire album was released in November of 2012 and debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 200, making it her fifth #1 album in the United States. It sold 159,000 copies in the first week and is the first album to be released since she signed with RCA Records.
Keys is married to rapper and record producer Swizz Beatz, whom she also has a child with. The two celebrated their marriage on the island of Corsica in July of 2010.
