Adele's '21' Once Again Ranks Number One on Billboard 200

Adele's super hit music album "21" has once again been ranked at number one on this week's Billboard 200. The British singer's sophomore set topped the prestigious album chart for the 24^th time after fending off the challenges of Alan Jackson, The Beach Boys and Neil Young's new musical compilations.

Nielsen SoundScan has reported that around 75,000 copies of "21" were sold last week, as Adele's profile received a massive boost, thanks to her appearance on NBC program "Adele Live in London." The pop and soul-filled album was released more than a year ago but it has still never found itself outside the top 10 positions on the Billboard chart.

Last week saw album debuts of three established artists of the music industry, but none of them were able to outperform Adele in the market. Country music star Alan Jackson's 17^th studio album "Thirty Miles West" had to settle for the second spot after selling 2,000 less copies than "21."

The legendary "Beach Boys" also dropped their 29^th album recently to coincide with the group's 50^th anniversary. The collection titled "That's Why God Made The Radio" sold 61,000 copies on debut and is currently camped at number three. Fourth position on the list belongs to their fellow veteran Neil Diamond, whose studio album number 35 titled "Americana" sold 44,000 copies.
