Adele Releases "Skyfall" Theme Song

Have you heard it yet?  Adele has released her theme song for the upcoming James Bond flick, Skyfall, and it’s good.  Really good.

The latest instalment of the spy series starring Daniel Craig hits theaters in a few weeks, giving this single more than enough time to pick up speed and add to the anticipation of Bond fans everywhere.

Before we go into the details of “Skyfall,” let’s take a moment to discuss the last Bond single, “Another Way to Die” which was performed by Jack White and Alicia Keys.  Really, the track sounded more like a jam session than a real theme song and, in all honesty, I was beginning to wonder if we were going to deviate away from the classic formula we’ve come to expect from the franchise.

Adele delivers a solid performance accompanied by a 77-piece orchestra and, really, her vocals are smooth, the lyrics are great and it’s understated in that cheesy, Bond kind of way.

The last time the British superstar was in the studio was 18 months ago while recording 21.
