Adele is Doing Third Album All on Her Own Terms
This past month, Ryan Tedder’s been doing most of the talking about Adele’s upcoming third album. She hasn’t said much at all, but now, in an interview with MSN Music U.K., the OneRepublic frontman says she’s doing the release completely on her own terms
What this means is, according to statements from Tedder, Adele has no plans to tour and doesn’t appear to have a deadline. He explained: "She will deliver the album on her own timetable, at her own pace, and the only person that will ever declare it finished will be her, when she decides it's finished. I could probably guess when [Jesus] Christ is going to return more accurately than when that album will come out. And that doesn't mean it's going to be a while, it just means I have no idea."
Tedder previously spoke about her progress to the Herald Sun, explaining that her sound is the best that it has ever been. He further mentioned she has been in the studio with James Ford and Kid Harpoon, who previously worked with Florence and the Machine and Jessie Ware.
As well, earlier rumors about the direction of her third release indicate a potential change in sound. Motherhood may be an influence, one expected to create a more uplifting tone.
What do you think Adele should do for her third album? The release has to follow up 21, considered the biggest seller of the 21st century so far.
