Adele Could Record James Bond 'Skyfall' Theme Song
After dropping some serious hints that she would be recording a new theme song for the forthcoming James Bond movie 'Skyfall', it seems Adele’s contribution to the 23rd film isn’t actually set in stone, according to NME. A while back the famed Someone Like You singer had chatted in an interview with Jonathan Ross, telling the talk show host that she would be making her way into the studio for a theme song, adding “wow, that’s really giving something away.”
Since then, rumors of Adele working on the James Bond 'Skyfall' theme song have remained just that – rumors. The latest news surrounding the song for the movie follows artist Michael Buble, who is also said to be in the running to record the Bond song. However, Barbara Broccoli, a producer on the action flick, has come forward, sharing the news that movie heads have been considering quite a few talents for the job, but nothing has been recorded as of yet. "We’ve been considering several people but we haven’t got anyone to announce at this stage."
With Adele's recent surgery for her vocal chords, and a canceled tour behind her, it looks like the singer's contribution is still up in the air. Unless she recuperates fast, and can record a theme for the James Bond film with Daniel Craig and Javier Bardem. The film is slated to be released in theaters on October 26th of 2012.
In other news, Adele's surgery at Mass General Hospital in Boston went well. The singer, who is expected to fully recover has also allowed Fox's Glee TV series to perform her music in their 300th musical performance. Both actors Matthew Morrison and Idina Menzel will be performing a mash up of Adele's 'Rumour Has It' and 'Someone Like You'.
