Adele and Phil Collins Working On New Music

The two Londoners have been absent from the music scene for quite some time but could make a comeback together. Adele and Phil Collins Working On New Music

Adele is collaborating with legendary rock band Genesis' lead singer Phil Collins to cook up some fresh new music for her fans. The revelation was made by Collins himself in an interview with Inside South Florida.

"I've just started to work with Adele," he said. "She contacted me to write together. I wasn't actually too aware [of her]. I live in a cave [but] she's achieved an incredible amount and I really love her voice and I love some of that stuff she's done. So, to me, it's always an eye-opener. Educational."

While their collaboration is certainly great news, there is one confusing point though. It isn't clear who of the two will be the main artist and who would just be featuring on the other's venture. Both Collins and Adele are expected to make new music this year, which means it could be anyone's.

The "Skyfall" crooner's last album, "21," came out three years ago, after which she took a break from the music industry and had a baby with Simon Konecki.

Collins has also been inactive since 2011 but recently talked about ending his hiatus. "I have started thinking about doing new stuff," he said. "[Maybe playing] some shows again.... Everything is possible. We could tour in Australia and South America. We haven't been there yet."
