Adam Levine Cast in Upcoming Musical

The star has an already very busy schedule but he has agreed to appear in a new Apatow film. Adam Levine Cast in Upcoming Musical

Adam Levine just got a little busier!  The talented Maroon 5 frontman and judge on The Voice has been cast in an upcoming musical film that is being produced by Judd Apatow.  The film, Can a Song Save Your Life?, will be written and directed by John Carney and has an interesting, if not slightly predictable sounding, plot: "A woman who moves with her boyfriend to New York to pursue music careers. After he dumps her for a solo contract, she is discovered singing at a local bar by a down-on-his-luck record producer."

The girl will be played by Keira Knightley which I find surprising.  I don’t know if she will be doing her own singing but after a few years of appearing in what seemed like every single movie on earth, she really quieted down but with this role, as well as the lead in Anna Karenina (yes, they are making yet another adaptation of that!), it looks like she’s gearing up for a comeback.

The music producer (in the movie) will be played by Mark Ruffalo while Levine will be the selfish boyfriend who abandons her for a shot at fame.

This won’t be the only acting Levine will be doing.  He has also signed up to appear in the upcoming season of American Horror Story, and he seems pretty excited about it: "It's going to be fun. And I told [producer Ryan Murphy] I really didn't know what I was doing but he didn't seem to really care. So I'm just going to go and try to [do] acting. I think I'm going to be kind of playing myself so hopefully it will be easy."

His Voice co-judge, Blake Shelton, seemed concerned about how they were all going to juggle their responsibilities while preparing for a third season of the reality show but Levine seems to be doing just fine.
