Adam Lambert Prepares for New Single "Trespassing"

Adam Lambert prepared for upcoming single “Trespassing” by requesting fans call it into their radio stations. Adam Lambert Prepares for New Single "Trespassing"

Although Adam Lambert announced his latest single in early September, the track, “Trespassing,” is just now receiving radio play. However, the first two singles off the singer’s sophomore album, “Better Than I Know Myself” and “Never Close Our Eyes,” did poorly, although the release itself hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Now, as radio stations get ready to play “Trespassing,” the former American Idol runner-up requested: "Glamberts!! It's time! Start requesting TRESPASSING on your favorite radio stations! If you wanna hear it, let em know! # trespassing"

He followed that with: "Official add date is October 8th, special Trespassing EP with Radio Edit and remixes from the album will be avail on the 16th."

Along with the singer’s request, fans have set up websites for getting the singer as much play and exposure as possible. If you have yet to hear the track, a Queen-meets-Michael Jackson stomper, listen here:

For those familiar with Lambert’s career, what do you think of “Trespassing”? Do you think it’s a radio hit that just needs a bit of support?

Outside of music and touring, Lambert has mildly taken up a political cause as of recent: gay marriage. On a smaller scale, he spoke out against Paris Hiltons’ homophobic remarks, and explained that they were no longer friends. Larger scale, Lambert has been openly supporting gay marriage.

I totally agree with all the above comments. Adam has a huge following here and abroad 1.7 million twitter followers. We are all onto the blackballing of Adam (clearwater channel mainly) and I think its disgusting. It's all about money and who they want to promote! There is no doubt adam's two previous singles would of charted higly if they were played. Every song on his album is better than what they play on the radio today (exception a few songs). I guess we'll know for sure, if they ignore trespassing as well, won't we?

Must agree that the reason his first two songs were not huge hits is that radio refused to play in many parts of the country. Really don't understand the reluctance to play this great music except for bias that has reared its ugly head because of Mr. Lambert's sexuality and his openness about his life. I sense hostility from station representatives I have talked to and requested his music. They have told me they won't play him, so what other conclusion can I draw. When this man has shown the brilliance to astound European audiences with his Queen collaboration, and is being played and recognized in other parts of the world, it tells me there is something unhealthy about the American music industry. So I would say it is very unfair to label Adam's first two songs as unsuccessful when there was not a level playing field. This album is brilliant, creative and different. Plus the man can sing. Very few, with the notable exception of Bruno Mars, have the kind of vocal ability Adam possesses. Rather than propel him to the top, his musical genius has seemed to be problematic. Just hope whatever ails the industry directing them to play trivial autotuned records finally fixes itself and recognizes they are ignoring (at least in this country) the primary talent of our generation. It will happen. Just too bad others aren't giving the joy of listening to this magnificent music and that glorious voice.

notice the other comments are saying the same thing. Adam worked extremely hard going to dozens of stations all over the country being interviews, meeting visitors, fans. And yet stations wouldn't play. It's really disgusting especially considering the crap they do play over and over and over.

His songs did poorly because radio refused to play them. They didn't start out high enough on the charts apparently. I requested and DJs said sorry he's not on the playlist. They didn't do poorly because they weren't allowed to be played. In my state I never heard them. I am disgusted but will continue to support real talent through satellite radio. This is a great song, but so was NCOE. He has been snubbed in America no doubt. He visited all those radio stations and they dissed him. I hope this is different. Hope he sings with Queen again. It was epic.

I meant to say "they did poorly because they weren't allowed to be played." They never really got a chance. I hope this time is different.

Is Ryan Seacrest playing Trespassing. We Glamberts should request on his station in mass. The others would follow. His music is some of the best on the air. Let's get it played.

I support Adam Lambert 100%!! One of the most talented singers in the music industry today! Unfortunately, radio stations do not give his music the spins his music deserves compared to other artists. If fans don't hear the music they are not aware it exists and therefore they do not buy the singles. Spins and sales determine the charts which in turn encourages more sales. Seems to me the radio stations have a lot of control over who 'they' want to promote- must be money involved! Better Than I Know Myself and Never Close Our Eyes were great songs!!! Trespassing sounds great! The entire album is a winner!
