Aaron Carter Has Plans for New Single, Album
These days, Aaron Carter is more of a reality television personality than a singer. His last solo album came out in 2002, and while he tried to restart his career in 2009, around the same time he appeared on Dancing With the Stars, with Flo Rida-featuring single “Dance With Me,” it didn’t get Carter anywhere. Now, while without a label, the younger brother of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter is touring.
The “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It)” singer, recently profiled by Billboard, is on the road with his After Party Tour and, in speaking with the magazine, revealed he has plans to make new music.
At the moment, however, Carter is experimenting in the studio, with no definite plans but to put out single “City Lights” and to get out an album sometime this year or in 2014. Carter explained to Billboard: "I never thought it would happen again. I spent so many nights the past few years just praying to God, 'Please let me tour again. Let me do what I love.' I went from being the lowest of low, wondering if I was ever going to be me again -- and then actually realizing I never will be me again. I'm gonna be an improved version of what I was growing up and have a lot more experience to use."
Carter hopes it will sound like Aaron’s Party, Part 2.
Carter hasn’t been too far out of the musical spotlight. While television shows like House of Carters kept him relevant, he was cast in the 2011 Off-Broadway production of The Fantasticks.
