50 Cent Says He Won’t “Live Much Longer”
Dramatic much or introspective? Over the past 24 hours, 50 Cent stated on his Twitter account that he doesn’t think he’ll live much longer. Is he confusing himself with his music career? After recently dealing with yet another issue with label Interscope Records, he wrote: “Ill be honest I don't think I'm gonna live much longer. That's why I started my street king [an energy drink in the works] movement. I want to mean more in other peoples lives.”
After fans grew concerned with this statement, Fiddy clarified his stance, explaining: “To be conscious that life is short is not suicidal. I'm good if I die tonight Iv taken care of the people who took care of me when I couldn't take care my self”
Last month the rapper released a mixtape, titled The Big 10. Although it celebrates the 10-year release of 50 Cent is the Future, the self-released mixtape preludes his upcoming album, which is due next month through Interscope. Yet, just a few days ago, he posted an ultimatum to his label, via Twitter, stating: “I got 3,500,000 views in 3 day on hands up. Ok I need a record deal jimmy iovine , call me early tomorrow or I’m putting out another mix tape. Anybody want to sign me I’m a young hungry artist and I work harder then everybody in hiphop call me tomorrow.”
The rapper, however, is disgusted by the music industry and recently said he has other projects lined up: “I’m going to deliver this album then. I have a film I wrote to focus on. I’m not upset I’m just convinced this is not how I want to be remembered.”
Yet, he said, the most difficult to handle, as he prepared his upcoming album: “were suppose to be on the same team with me. … Music was so much fun for me now the people and politics involved disgust me.”
